Additional terms: Although it is unlikely, a home study may be discontinued at its midway point at the request of the family for any reason, or at the discretion of Home Study Services of NC according to its professional judgment. I/We understand that monies paid to HHSNC are non-refundable, that payment of fees for an adoptive home study is required, and that payment of these fees ensures that a thorough, professional study will be conducted and does NOT guarantee an outcome of “approved home study recommendation to proceed with placement.” I/We understand that it is a customary practice for HHSNC to be the agency to provide post-placement supervision services for those families for whom HHSNC has conducted the home study.
